The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly at the adjacent drift pub. the hotel bar area felt very cosy (with its selection of board games!), with a perfect spot for relaxation after dinner. the hotel is also super dog friendly. It provided a little doggie box, a sweet touch. i found the location lovely and ideal for starting a hike.

the location overlooks the heath and is beautifully quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to main centres. ample parking is available . it is right in the middle of the park, surrounded by nature.

breakfast was served in the drift inn, just a few steps from the main house. the included continental breakfast offered an excellent choice of options (i loved the pastries!). the evening meal was also served in the drift inn.

The hotel location was superb, just as I expected. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!).

My room had a few minor issues. The bathroom heater was not working. The bath plug was broken, an inconvenience. The pool was closed .
